My name is Richard Williams., and I run indoor and outdoor varsity track and field at Friendly High School. I weigh 140 pounds, and I am 5 feet 9 inches. As I advanced in track/field, I have become faster, and physically/mentally stronger. Because of my faithfulness to track and field, I have been promoted to a Co-Captain on the team. I have been an important asset to the team since sophomore year, and will proceed to soon be the head captain of the team. My times continually drop at each track meet, which brings me closer to my goals, each time. I will be a great asset to your college/university, because I am a very hard worker. I will never quit or give up during a season. I also have very good grades, thus meaning I will not have to be removed from the team from academic error. My desired major is to become a journalist, mainly because I am a great writer. I am looking for a larger division one school that has a vast set of majors, so I can choose from several majors, only if I have trouble with one. My family is financially stable, but because three students will be in college at the same time, it will be difficult for our parents to steadily pay all college tuitions. By senior year, I plan to graduate with a 3.5, or above G.P.A. Also, I plan for my times to decrease, and become better in each event. However, my primary event is the 400 meter dash, due to my strength in the event. For example, in the 400, I plan to receive at least a 48.5. Also, while doing indoor track, I plan to receive a 1.05 in the 500 meter dash. Lastly, I will keep each college up to date with my statistical information.
