My goals for college is to overall have a great experience. I am willing to do what it takes to succeed. For athletics i am very easy to coach. I will respect my peers and Captains on the team. I am willing to work on any part of the sport they need. This includes dieting, recovery, racing, practice, anything. What makes me different from other athletes is that i am very willing. I am willing to put whatever I have into this team. I am also very well rounded. In high school I have done soccer freshman year, then spring and winter track. This was followed by the musical. Sophomore year I started cross country. I worked very hard all summer along with the team in training the I broke my arm and was forced to help the coaches and sit on the sidelines for practices and meets. I only ran a few meets my sophomore year, but still went to states and all states to watch my team. Then, I did the musical again and we got nominated for best musical in Massachusetts. This junior year I have been named Junior Captain for my team along with the seniors. I got named junior captain because my coach noticed that I had natural leadership ability and knew what it took to get the best out of a team. I have improved by over 3 minutes last year from all my hard work. I learned throughout the summer that it is a grind. Whatever you put into the sport, that will be the outcome you will receive. I was dedicated to becoming a top 7 member on my team this year and really put in the work in the offseason. Now, I run consistent and pr almost each race. Also, in my junior year I have made the award winning choir at my high school. My junior cross country year is my first full year of running in my life. Therefore, I am just starting as a runner and have a lot of potential and have a lot of room to get better. Throughout college my body will get stronger and faster with great coaching and a lot of dedication. I am ready. This choir was second in the country in 2018 because of its excellence. The hard work I put into running I use that for school and for everything. I am dedicated to get better and have a great work ethic. At practice I am sometimes by myself and I still work hard. What makes you an athlete is what you do when no one is watching. That is something I very much believe in and I take very seriously. My freshman and sophomore years in high school I didn’t have TV e best grades or times. Now, beginning my junior year, I am dedicated to making sure I stay on top of my grades and work hard in running. Overall, in my college experience I am willing to work hard get what I deserve and learn from my mistakes. I want to leave college prepared for life and wherever God takes me. I am ready to work.
