Greetings Coaches! My name is Shawn Panfil and I am currently a Junior at Dracut High School, in Dracut Massachusetts. I found my love for track in Middle School and have been working hard to get better each season. I am a sprinter at heart; competing in the 55m, 300m and 4x200 indoors, and the 100m, 200m, 4x100 and 4x200 outdoors.
Through dedicated training, I have seen great improvement in my times, especially my jump off the blocks. I put in extra work over the summer with a local track camp, and used the fall soccer season to keep up on my running. I'm really excited to see my results pay off this new track season and be a part of the great team of student athletes we have in Dracut. My goal is to hopefully compete in track at the college level.
As much time I put in to be my best on the track, I always put school work first. Academically I currently have a 4.19 GPA. I'm unsure as to what I want to major in at college at this point, but would love to do something in Sports or Business; maybe finding a way to combine the two. Thanks for checking out my profile. I look forward to hearing from you!
