Personal Statement

My name is Devin DeBerardinis. The most important statement I can make about track as a sport is that running has changed my life. I was mainly a hockey player who dabbled in golf from time to time until I tried track and field as a sprinter the spring of freshman year. That inspired me to join the cross country team in the fall of sophomore year and the rest is history. I have finally found somewhere I belonged with supportive teammates and an inspiring coach that has made me want to be the best me I can be. I look forward to reaching personal bests as it motivates me to become a better athlete. I love the supportive environment the track and field teams have and I promise to carry my growth mindset and positive culture into college.
