I have developed a passion for running over the past 4 years by chasing after goals and trying to make my team reach our full potential. I find enjoyment running with my teammates and encouraging them. I have been motivated by breaking big barriers such as 4:30 in the 1600m and 16 minuets in the 5000m. I am eager to improve and compete among the highest competition during both track and XC seasons. I pride myself on my work ethic as I push myself every practice and In the classroom. This can be further seen as I took courses in Ap micro and macro economics this past year, demanding many hours of work and preparation amidst busy sports schedules. During May, as I prepared for AP exams I was challenged to adequately prepare for the tests while still running nearly two meets every week. When the day of my AP exams came, I completed both tests and finished the day off with a 26 second PR with a 9:34 in the 2-mile at the Shepard Bluejay invite. This demonstrates my dual focus on both my schooling and my running. Looking forward to becoming a collegiate athlete, I aspire to not only become a better runner but also continue to develop positive skills and leadership traits that will help me to pursue further education and eventually a career. My dream is to find a team where I can be pushed to towards being the best student-athlete I can be.
