Hello coaches,
As a very active person, I love swimming and biking, as well as lots of other sports. Running is my personal favorite of all the sports, and it is the only sport that I compete in, which means I can focus all of my efforts into becoming a better runner, and contributing to my team. Finishing off my Junior year in high school, college running has certainly been on my mind. I feel it will be a great experience meeting and training with new people. I get along well with others, so I’m sure wherever I go I’ll find a way to fit in. Running has always been something that I loved, and I am hoping that continues through college and beyond. Competing is one of my favorite parts of the sport, and I can get very competitive, but I am still a team player and love to watch my team succeed. I can adapt to different methods of training and coaching easily, allowing me to perform well.
I am also very interested in the academics part of college, which is the most important part. I know that college education can shape your future a large amount, so a good school is something that I value.
I look forward to hearing from you, and thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement.
-Lars
