My name is Wesley Jones. I am a 6’2, 190lb gritty power forward, and I have been playing hockey since I was 5. I learned to skate at 2 years old on the backyard rink that my father makes every year. I'm currently in my senior year of high school at the Maine Jr Mariners Academy AAA program in Biddeford Maine. Last year I went to school at Pilot Mound Collegiate Institute in Manitoba, Canada for the 2022-2023 school year. I boarded and played hockey at the Pilot Mound Hockey Academy on their U17 prep team, which competes in the CSSHL and plays a 50+ game schedule throughout central and western Canada. Our team also played in the NAPHL West Showcase in Frisco, TX and won the NAPHL SHOW Championship showcase in Troy, Michigan, Feb. 17-20. This was a very good year of hockey for me as I am developed into an even stronger player and hope to develop into a very good player this year. I have 3+ hours of daily ice time with 3-4 games most weekends. Having previously played wing, Coach Rick McConnell at Pilot Mound placed me at center last season and I am adjusted to that position while I am playing both center and wing for the Maine Jr Mariners AAA. After this year my goal is to attend and play hockey for a too AAA program or a prep school, or make a teir 2 junior hockey team. From here I would like to play junior A hockey with the aim to play college hockey.
During my first two years of high school, I attended Coe-Brown Northwood Academy and played hockey for the Somersworth Coe-Brown Bearcats. Some accomplishments during this time:
