Track and field has always been a staple in my life, weather it was watching the Olympics, Diamond League or NCAA college track and field championships on television, to competing in meets since I was in 4th grade. Track and field is something that I would love to pursue at the next level in college. I am very coachable and highly self-motivated both on the track and in the classroom. I am always looking to improve and learn new things from teachers, coaches and teammates. I like to think that I’m the most competitive person in the world. I love to compete at just about everything that I do, whether that be in the classroom or on the track. Wherever I am, either in the classroom or on the track I always give everything I do 100% effort. I am passionate about being the best person I can be on and off the track. As a person I tend to gravitate toward things that are challenging for me on the track and in the classroom. On the track, I have competed in my State Qualifier meets in both my freshman and sophomore years of high school. Heading into my junior year I have goal of making it to New York’s state meet and grinding to hopefully become a state champion.
Since a very young age I have always have prided myself on my education. In the classroom I have maintained a 4.0 GPA through both my freshman and sophomore years of high school and that will not change in my junior or senior years. I have been taking high school level courses since I was in middle school. In high school I have taken almost every advanced placement course that has been offered to me. To me, grades always come before sports, is something I have been taught since a very young age, so I always make sure that I am on top of my education. I want to go to a school that best matches my academic goals as well as my track and field athletic goals.
