Ian Hicks '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Senior at West Henderson High School in Hendersonville, NC competing in both indoor and outdoor track.  It is my dream to run track in college.  As a sprinter, I enjoy the competition and continue to work on my skills both in the weight room and on the track so I can compete at the highest level possible.   I would prefer to attend a university or college in the state of North Carolina but am open to opportunities in other areas. I currently have a 3.34 GPA and currently preparing to take the ACT.  My favorite subject in school is history as I enjoy learning about past events.  I feel I have a lot to offer a program, I have a positive, can-do attitude, I'm always on time and prepared to work. I had the opportunity to compete in the North Carolina 3A State Championship on our 4x200 relay team.  This year for the 2022 indoor 3a state meet I competed in the 4x200 relay and finished 2nd in the state and 3rd overall as a team, hope to carry on in the next years.
