I have been running track for 5 years. Ever since I was little, I have always had this passion to run. Whether it was down the road to play with friends or around the field with our livestock, running set me free. When I joined the track team my 8th grade year, I instantly fell in love with everything the sport has to offer. In 8th grade my dream grew into a passion to run at the next level. I’ve realized the discipline, effort, and determination needed to make this dream become reality and I plan to give my everything to reach this goal.
I have been around sports my whole life. I originally started running track so I could stay in shape for soccer. But, after my first meet there was a spark in my body that hasn't gone away. I have now been competing in varsity track every year of high school. (With an exception of freshman year due to Covid-19). This past season I was 1 of 2 captains of our men's track team and I loved it. Being captain meant that I was able to encourage my teammates to be better athletes and to be better people. This is a trait that carries over into all aspects of my life: on the track, in the classroom, and out of school. I have indeed struggled with school due to unforeseen circumstances, but that does not take away the lessons that academia has given me to continue to be a resilient, reliable, and consistent athlete and human.
I am open to ALL options and my ultimate goal is to find the college that fits me best: academically, financially and athletically, at the highest level of competition possible for all areas. When I put my mind to something, I am dedicated and will give 100% to achieve it. You will not find anyone better suited for this career. This is what I will do in college, on the track, and in life. Here is to the run of my life.
