Personal Statement
My name is Erik Wingfield. I am a junior distance runner attending Keller Timber Creek in Fort Worth, Texas. As a freshman I was part of a team that finished 5th in state, and last year we finished 4th. Individually, as a Junior I won 2 Varsity XC meets, lowered my personal record in 5K Cross Country to 15:22, finished in 7th at the 2013 Texas State meet, and was named to the Texas All Region and All State team.
In track my personal records are 4:22 in the 1600, 9:13 in the 3200, and 15:01 in the 5000. All of my meets and times from this year are available and can be downloaded from my profile under Athletics and "Season Schedule".
I am blessed to have a great coach and be a part of one of the top high school long distance programs in Texas. I look forward to my final year of high school and would like to further my ability by competing at high collegiate levels and find a college that challenges me academically.
