My name is Yash Hooda a student-athlete at Austin High School and I love running! Ever since I started running, I have been getting better and better and eventually by the time I reached my 10th Grade or Sophomore year at High School, I made the varsity cross country/JV track team and made some huge progress ever since. I want to run for any college and make the school proud. My family and I are from India even though I was born in Englewood, CO. I was brought up and raised in South Florida for almost 9 years and I called the city of Plantation home for the longest time in my life before moving to Kansas City for 3 years and eventually Houston where I spent 8th grade and all of my high school years. I am vegetarian naturally but I sometimes go vegan as a preference to test my running performance. I would always stay dedicated to my events and the sport. What makes me stand out from the rest of the athletes is that I was diagnosed with "Autism" at the age of 3, but despite my disability, I was able to overcome many obstacles and reach the high-functioning end of the spectrum. I love to run and eat a lot and hangout with my friends but I always know that “education” comes first.
You can follow me on "Strava" which has the same picture as my profile picture.
