I'm a senior mid-distance track and cross-country athlete at Thomas A. Edison High School in Alexandria, VA (class of 2024). Academically, I'm an accomplished student with a 4.1 GPA across an IB intensive course load which includes, IB Physics, IB Business Management, IB Language and Literature, and IB History (World Topics). As a dual citizen of Sweden and the U.S., my extracurricular activities have mainly focused on track and field, travel abroad, cultural exploration, and building proficiency in the Swedish language.
I've consistently improved personal record times through junior year, becoming a top varsity athlete and all district runner for Edison’s track and cross-country teams. My junior year PR in the 1600 shaved 16 seconds, resulting in a state qualifying time. I'm a lauded hard worker and competitor, my contributions as a teammate have led to Indoor and Outdoor District Championships.
I aspire to compete in collegiate track to not only challenge myself in high-level competition, but to motivate and contribute to team success. Being a team-oriented athlete, I strive to push my teammates to their success, in addition to my own. As a student I hope to find the same in a school. I am interested in schools that are academically and athletically rigorous - internationally-inclined that have strong programs in medicine, science, technology and international politics.
