I started playing Volleyball competitively in the 7th grade, and fell in love with the game. I played all sports until then, but was eventually forced to give up baseball because of the competing seasons. My Freshman year I played Freshman Football for OPHS, but decided to focus full time on Volleyball last year.
As a Freshman, I started at Opposite for our CIF Div II Championship team, that went on to play in the State Championship Final, losing in 5 sets to Mira Costa, the Div I Champion. I was named Freshman of the Year.
My Sophomore year we did not fulfill my team goals of another CIF Div II Championship, nor did we win Gold at the JOs(we won Bronze). And I also missed my individual HS goal of Tri-Valley Player of the Year, and club All Tournament Team at USA BJNVCs. Nonetheless, my volleyball play was steady and successful throughout the year. I was named the Dos Pueblos Tournament MVP, and was named to the Tri Valley All-League team, both HS honors.
My Junior year in High School was highlighted by winning Tri-Valley League Player of the Year, but our team did not advance very far in the playoffs. Our club season was also disappointing. Nonetheless, I was named in the Volleyball Magazine "Top 25 Underclassmen to Watch" in the Fab 50 Edition of the magazine.
I am eager to find a college or university that can provide me with an outstanding business or economics degree for my future in business. I work extremely hard in school so that I will be eligible for the elite academic programs in the country. I believe that my college experience will be greatly enhanced by contributing and participating in Men's Volleyball, and I dream of starting for a great program and contributing to a National Championship wherever I go and at whatever level I play.
