I have played many other sports along the way until I encountered this journey of volleyball. Ever since I was little, I have always been around the sport and atmosphere of volleyball. Attending the University of Hawai’i volleyball games and watching my older siblings play the sport has really grown on me. As a high school student athlete at a Native Hawaiian School, Kamehameha Schools Kapalama, this institution holds high values for its students. We, as Warriors, are driven in our academics and athletic programs. I hope to attend a college with values and expectations similar to Kamehameha Schools.
I am furthering my education in Computer Science and competing in the CCAC (Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference) as a first-year student-athlete here at St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa. I have gained independence from being so far away from home, but also adapted to the fast-paced game of volleyball with the immense amount of court time received as a Defensive Specialist, Setter, & Libero (Utility). Aside from school and sports, I love spending time outdoors and being an advocate for nature and the environment. I have participated in many community services throughout the year, such as beach cleanups and cleaning of neighborhood streets. Mahalo!
