I have been playing club volleyball since the age of 11. Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the college level. I have a comprehensive skill set, strong offense and defense, and a high volleyball IQ. I am a captain, team leader, and mentor, and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable athlete and often my coach looks to me to help with giving guidance and feedback to my teammates. I strive to be one the hardest working players on the court and one of the hardest working recruits you'll find. I work hard year-round on my volleyball skills both with my club team in Fall, winter, and summer and with my high school team in the Spring. I spend several hours in the gym each week and watch film to constantly assess my skills and identify areas of improvement which all contribute to my athleticism.
In the classroom, I am very focused and study hard to maintain a strong GPA. I have taken Advanced Placement courses and have made the Academic All Conference team. I volunteer assisting with volleyball at the local junior high and have spent the last 2 summers as a certified American Red Cross lifeguard, trained to administer First Aid and CPR/AED.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and take my volleyball skills to the next level. I am open to all options at this point and ultimately want to find the right college match where I can play at the highest competitive level. I strive to become a great role model to my peers and in my community and make my family, friends, and coaches proud.
