Connor McDarby '25 Recruiting Profile

I grew up playing and loving basketball. However, my 7th grade year I didn't make the modified team. My Dad grew up playing volleyball and recommended that I try out for the volleyball team. I decided to try, and I not only made the team, but grew to love the sport. I then made Varsity my freshman year. As a 3 year Varsity starting player for Ichabod Crane High School we have won Sectionals and gone to Regionals all three years. Losing Regionals was hard but it has helped me be able to grow and become even more committed to the sport. This past season I was named a Section 2 All-Star for the second time. As my love for the sport grew, I decided to try out for Team LVC, a travel volleyball team. I made the team and have been playing in numerous tournaments around the country. This has allowed me to compete against some of the best players in the Northeast. As a student athlete I want to maintain a high average throughout high school and college. I'm looking for a program that will provide me with a good education and allow me to continue to play volleyball.
