I am a senior at Easton Area High School who began playing volleyball in the 8th grade. After exposure to the sport in 8th grade, I decided to commit myself to play. I joined the Club Lehigh team to learn, train, and get more experience on the court. My position at that time was Defensive Specialist. My first year playing for the high school, I was double rostered on both JV and Varsity. This was a great opportunity for me, as I was still learning to navigate the court and touch the ball as often as possible. In tenth grade, I was starting Defensive Specialist for Varsity. Off-season, I continued to train and condition through play at summer tournaments, a men’s sand court volleyball league, and attending pick up games at open gyms at local community centers. This has helped my speed and agility, strength, and adaptability to compete at different levels among my teammates and competitors.
Joining Club Velocity- Lehigh Valley has opened the door to new opportunities on the court for me. As I am a confident D/S, the coaching staff shifted the focus on my training as an outside hitter. With each tournament and practice, I am building consistency and strength in my performance. I believe I am an asset to any volleyball team because my current level of skills allows for me to play all the way around the court in a confident and competitive manner. Through my high school season, I have these same opportunities and continue to strengthen these skills.
I am very interested in attending a four-year college with the opportunity to play competitive volleyball. I strive for the best in both academics and on the court. I bring the same level of commitment to my academics as I do to athletics. Not only do I enjoy the competitive nature of the game, but also I have built a strong character of leadership and developed some great friendships with my teammates. I am always open to changing performance methods to improve my skills, and always up for a new challenge. I am excited to see what the next open door holds for me.
