Hunter Henson '22 Recruiting Profile

I had a very “normal” childhood up until August 27th, 2017. My mother unexpectedly passed away and my world changed forever.  I fell behind in all aspects of my life. Looking at my grades and school history, one can easily see that downward spiral. Things became much better for me when I enrolled in our district’s competency program. Since joining this program I have already passed, with 80% proficiency, most of my classes. With this, I am now on track to graduate early. Please reach out if this competency program needs further explanation from district staff.

Since joining this program, gaining success academically, and gaining strength and skill in volleyball my life is returning back to that normalcy I once had. I am proud of my accomplishments, and excited about my future both academically and athletically. I am determined and ready to be a team player.
