Beating my high school’s rival, Heritage High School, in water polo was the highlight of my career. However, I feel that I grew the most my freshman year when I wasn’t a starter for half of the season. It showed me the importance of hard work outside of practice and dedication to the sport. This experience made me better develop my fundamental skills and knowledge of the game. It has led me to win the Most Improved/MVP awards. During my freshman year, I learned that being a leader is better than being led.
Liberty High School has a wonderful program that has taken first in the league for the two years that I have played. Playing has taught me the importance of leadership, dedication, and preparation. I’m searching for a college that will push me athletically and academically. As a two-sport player, three-time captain, and winner of the MVP award/Most Improved awards, I believe that I have what it takes to be a leader and make an impact in your program.
