Matthew Maxson '25 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches,

I am excited to introduce myself as I would like to combine my passion of playing water polo with my college education. I have been playing water polo since 10U and I have become attached to this sport as my second nature. As a California water polo player, I have had access to lots of high level coaching and teams, further developing my goalie skills, yet I am still very open to learning new strategies from your team. With my great vocality during practices and games, i would also be a great addition in terms of defense leadership.

I believe water polo and academics complement each other and have greatly improved my life. Balancing school with academics is not easy, but i love how rewarding it can be. I love the complexity of the game, the camaraderie with my teammates, the guidance my coaches provide me, and so much more.
