Julian Breeze '27...Personal Statement
I am in the class of 2027 at Torrey Pines High School in San Diego, California. I currently carry an A average at the honors level (3.64 GPA). Athletically, I am a right handed, 6’3”, 196 lb. strong and versatile player. I can drive, post up, and hold position. I can control inside water on defense and force offenses to lower probability riskier attacks.
My water polo journey began in Fall 2015. Since that time, I have been fortunate to play at the highest levels in San Diego and nationally. I have represented PSW Zone for ODP since 2021. During the ODP process, I have earned National Championships medals in 2022 and 2024, and in 2022, I was fortunate to be selected to the ODP Development National Team.
As a two-year starter for my high school team, I helped lead our Varsity squad to reach the CIF-SDS Open Division playoffs as the fifth seed for 2024 and to reach the Division 1 Semifinals in 2023.
With my club teams, I have helped secure two top ten finishes and five top twenty finishes at USAWaterPolo’s Junior Olympics, as well as multiple top ten results with Futures Water Polo League. In addition, I have trained internationally with a leading program in Barcelona, Spain.
On deck and in the water, I'm purpose driven at training and for every match. On attack, I look for mismatches to find opportunities to improve our chances to score. On defense, I remain proactive to disrupt the attack and steal our opponent’s time.
As a player, my goal is to deliver measurable results for my team, my school, and my club. As a student, I strive to achieve to the best of my ability.
I look forward to the recruiting process and to learning more about how I can best support my next program.
