I have been playing softball since I was five years old and pitching since I was ten, and have dreamed of playing at the collegiate level. I always strive to improve myself and my skills by continuing to set new goals to attain. Recently, when given the opportunity to be a #1 pitcher on a lower level team or challenging for the same position on a better team, I chose the challenge. Without challenges you have nothing to strive for and no reason to improve yourself. That also applies to my academics, I take AP and honors courses and work to make the best grades that I can. I have a dry wit and sense of humor that helps me on the mound as well, as I take everything in stride. I have had multiple coaches tell me that they have never seen a pitcher not get rattled during a game like I do. I have pitched varsity since I was in the 8th grade, and work to do my best and whatever it takes to help my team win.
