I’ve played softball since I was 5. I remember watching the Women’s College Worlds Series for the first time, I was 9. I’ve always looked up to college girls, their energy, and ability to stay calm in high pressure situations. I love the way coaches keep the team calm and motivate them. I watch college and professional softball to make my abilities stronger in all aspects of the game. Ever since I was little I’ve been the youngest, I’ve always worked hard to be at their level. When I got to their level, I realized the work doesn’t stop there, I have to continue to work so that I can improve my craft.
In school, I’m seen as a leader. I love being able to motivate my team on and off the field; If it’s cheering them on from the dugout or helping them with work, I’m there. I played volleyball during my seventh and eighth grade year of middle school; I was also seen as a leader. People looking up to you can cause a bit of pressure but knowing that they have your back and everyone struggles takes off some of the pressure. I want to go to a college where I feel at home; I want to know that my coaches and teammates have my back whenever I begin to fail.
