Isabel Obaob '26 Recruiting Profile

Softball has always been my passion. I can’t imagine a world without it. It has taught me many life skills. I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership. I was able to come out of my shell and establish a special bond with my teammates. I am no longer the shy girl who sat in the corner of the dugout and barely cheered on my teammates. I am now loud. I am proud. I respect my teammates, and we pick each other up when we are down. As a player and a recruit, I strive to be one of the hardest-working people you will ever meet.

In 2023, my high school made history. We won 1st place in our conference for the first time ever! Our league record was 11-3. I was fortunate and honored to be part the winning team. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically. I believe I have the talent to compete on a college level. My character, work ethic, and leadership skills will make a great addition. 

I would like to mention one person who helped me become who I am today. And that is my father. He has been my inspiration. I owe everything I know to him. Minor league baseball was my father’s highest level of baseball. Like him, I aspire to achieve the same level of success. My goal is to play collegiate softball. That goal is within my reach with hard work and determination.
