My name is Sophia Hunt, and I am currently a Junior at Mountain House High School. I was a competitive gymnast for 11 years before switching to cheer leading. I do both all-star cheer and sideline cheer. I cheer at California All stars Bay Area and Mountain House High School. Transferring my gymnastics knowledge was easy when it came to tumbling, and I was able to get on a higher level because my tumbling. Stunting and different types of jumps were more difficult for me to learn. As of now, I am mostly a backspot, but I have little experience in side basing. Throughout my gymnastics career and cheerleading career, many people and coaches believed that whatever someone throws at me, I will try and continue to try until I succeed. I am a very determined and courageous athlete. Something that makes me different is how much I will continue to have fun during a difficult day and I will continue to push through while supporting others. As someone who has had medical problems, even if I am injured I still like to try my best with what I can do. This is why you should consider me for a position!
