At eight years old, I took my first steps on to the diamond. I immediately fell in love with the game, finding any possible opportunity to play more ball, as long as it was within budget. I know that as I move my way up the ladder, getting closer and closer to competing at a professional level, I am getting closer to completing my goals; those of which include supporting those I love, and those who support me, as well as giving back to my community, and living my dream. Climbing towards, and completing these goals will change my life.
I work and push myself in all possible environments whether it be in the classroom, on the field, or in the wrestling room you can find me giving my 100%. In the classroom I make sure to maintain my grade, pushing and working for my goal which has, and always will be 100%; allowing me to maintain a high GPA. Promoting from Junior High, I was presented with the California Junior Scholarship Federation Officer badge, for serving a term in the CJSF office as “Member at Large”. I respect everyone, whether it be my peers, teachers, or adults around campus, I make sure to acknowledge them. Out on the field I lay my heart on the line, pushing myself passed the limits to become the best player, teammate, and leader I can be. I work to unite the team, and set the tempo, whether it be with my voice, arm, and or bat. I will continue to be one of the first on the field, and one of the last off, making sure to get the maximum reps in before the day closes. I do not only play baseball, as of the 2018-2019 school year I will be a three sport athlete; playing football, baseball, and wrestling. However, I did do wrestling this year, occasionally wrestling at a varsity level for the 120-126 lbs class, and the 113-120 lbs class, but I mainly wrestled at Junior Varsity.
I wish, and will fight to attend a college where I can push myself in every aspect possible. I want to compete in a college that matches my level of work ethic, a college where I can exceed the standards and limits, inspiring those around me by leading by example. I also wish to compete at college where I can make a name for myself, and move on to play professionally, making my siblings and parents proud.
