Emily Cote '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emily Cote and I'm a 5'7" hardworking softball player at Coventry High School. I'm truly dedicated to this sport. I'm an athlete who knows the game of softball. I mainly play catcher and first but I am definitely capable of playing anywhere I’m needed.

Knowing that I'm capable of playing softball in college makes me more passionate for this sport. I have been told that there are no other players like me and that I am capable of being the best. What I can offer to a team is the promise to always work hard and never give up. I am the first to go to the field and the last to leave. 

When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, my options are very big. I mainly am looking at Division 1 southern states (Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma) but I am very open to going anywhere. I am open minded about colleges and hope to just find a college that fits me best. It doesn't matter about the size or location; if I can receive a good education and play softball I will be happy. 

My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competition level. Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team and to little girls. Knowing at the end of the day that I made a difference and tried my hardest would keep a smile on my face.
