2019 HighlightsPersonal Statement
What I am looking for in a college or university are strong academics and the chance to play softball at a competitive level. My favorite subjects are math and finance, and I would like to major in finance in college. As for sports, I began by playing little league baseball for about five years. Then in 2018 I started playing in an all-girls travel baseball league with the NY Wonders, playing tournaments against teams from Canada, Boston, and Washington D.C. I switched over to travel softball in 2019, playing with the Brooklyn Cyclones & then the Red Devils, which was a great experience. Since moving to Connecticut I have played up with the 18U Westport Wreckers travel team. My primary position has been catcher, but I have also regularly played second base. I enjoy catching because I’m involved in every pitch and every play of the game. But I am also happy to play elsewhere, and have played both infield and outfield. Since moving to Connecticut my new coaches have played me more often at second, as I am very fast and quick on my feet (I also run track in the winter). I think my best attribute is being a team player who always plays hard and will play wherever I am needed.

- After moving to Connecticut in 2021 Reilly (age 16) played on an 18u travel team for the summer. She batted .396 with an OBP of .482 and 9 SB in 9 attempts.

- Summer 2020 - Over the COVID-shortened summer 2020 season (17 games), Reilly batted .414 with an on-base of .500 and a slugging percentage of .483.

- Reilly has had a personal trainer— Tito Navarro —for approximately 8 years. Tito has worked with Reilly on a regular basis focusing on hitting and catching drills. He has been an invaluable resource in terms of furthering Reilly’s baseball & softball skills, and was responsible for recommending her to her travel softball teams.

Are you in honor classes?
Yes. Reilly has been in honors classes throughout middle school and her first 3 years of high school at Brooklyn Tech, one of New York City’s five elite public high schools, and now Staples High School. In addition to playing for her travel teams, she was one of only four freshmen selected her high school varsity team. After moving to Westport, CT, in 2021 she is now a junior at Staples High School and is taking several AP classes (see below).Are you in AP/IB classes?
Yes. In her sophomore year (2020-2021) Reilly took AP Computer Science and AP World History, achieving a score of 4 in each. As a junior she is currently taking AP U.S. History and AP Statistics.Registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center?
