Personal Statement

On the field my favorite position is catcher: I value being a catcher because I can help guide and lead my teammates. I have always enjoyed being a part of a team and working together with my team members in order to accomplish a goal. Besides catcher I also play the corners and anywhere I can help the team - I enjoy being on the field. I aspire to play softball at the collegiate level - allowing me a chance to grow on the field as a player and person. From a young age my parents have instilled perseverance in me both in academics and sports. When I am locked on a goal, I work hard to achieve it - persevering through the challenge in front of me. Softball has been a part of my life since the age of 9. I always loved the connections between others the sport created - I have met many people aspiring to follow different careers but softball is what brought them together.  I also swim, which in addition helps my softball physically allowing me to stay active during off season.

In addition to softball, I want to study veterinary medicine because I enjoy working with animals and helping them. I want to attend a college that will challenge me academically and that will allow me to pursue my veterinary medicine path. I have always loved helping animals.

Softball has taught me teamwork and understanding, while perseverance developed from both my academics and the game. The sport has taught me many life lessons and I would love to continue playing and developing with the sport to see what else I can learn.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
