I have been playing softball since I was 7 years old, and I have always dreamed of playing college softball. I love and respect the game, friendships, memories, and softball has taught me to work hard, the value of teamwork and to believe in myself.
I am a junior at Washington High School, and I have started on varsity since my freshman year. I work with a pitching and hitting coach once a week year round. I also weight lift through my school 2/3 times a week. When I am not playing with my school team, I play with a travel team, Eastern Iowa Barracudas.
My academic goals for high school is to keep improving my grades and graduate within the top 25% of my class. Other than softball, I am involved in PEER Helpers, Silver Cord, BPA (Business Professionals of America) and Yearbook. I am undecided on a major for college. However, I do have an interest in child development, psychology, or social sciences.
