Personal Statement
Many of my earliest memories are at softball fields throughout the United States watching my older sister play collegiate softball. I have been blessed with a successful youth career that included a state championships and many invitational championships. The wins were made possible by the incredible group of girls I was able to play with. We were not always the most talented team; but we never gave in or gave up. I was fortunate to be able to play high school varsity softball starting in 8th grade. For the past two years, Benilde St. Margaret’s has participated in the MN State High School League state softball tournament; I was a starter and key contributor on these teams both on the mound and at the plate. These experiences really helped to reinforce what it takes to be successful both on the field and in the class room - the hard work, the extra effort, the drive, the team - success! As I look to the future, I am looking for a program and an institution that builds on the strong foundation I have today in both softball and academics. My goal is to win a College World Series; earn a chance to complete for a position; and be a fantastic teammate. I want to inspire the next generation to play softball and be a role model for them. In the classroom, I want to earn my degree and be prepared to be a leader in the workforce.
