Erica Lee '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I'm Erica, but my team calls me E or Ricky. I started playing volleyball in 3rd grade when my dad signed me up for the mysterious sport. Honestly, I wouldn't say I liked it at first because I frequently got frustrated with myself. However, as soon as I got my first underhand serve over the net, I knew this was the sport for me.  

I believe I would be a great addition to any team due to my optimistic and bubbly personality on and off the court. However, I take the game very seriously and own up to my mistakes, and do my best to correct them.  I like to take a positive attitude to the sport because I feel nothing good can come from the entire team being frustrated.

My current GPA is 3.83, and I got a 25 on my practice ACT test. I like to think that I can stay on top of assignments very well, even with the whirlwind of the sport. 

In the future, I would like to be a consistent and well-rounded player. I want to be someone that the team can count on to get the ball over the net and get a kill. I want to be able to get a great pass off a tough serve and set up the front row for success. I also want to be able to read the hitter better as I block so I can put up a wall they can't break through. A physical goal I have for myself is to be able to jump high enough to touch the rim. Sounds silly, but I think it would be pretty cool. 

Overall, I think I would be a great addition to any team! I look forward to being in touch!
