Alyssa Quick '26 Recruiting Profile

I am a goal oriented person.  Currently I have two goals in my life; one is to the make the high school softball team and the other is to play softball in college.  These are goals I have spent the last seven years trying to achieve.

Like so many girls I started playing tee ball when I was four years old.  My interest in the game and the desire to be successful really picked up at age 8 when I began pitching.  I love pitching!  I have played competitive fast pitch softball since that time.  Although not yet in high school I have my eyes on the prize!  I continue to practice and take pitching lesson, hitting lesson and speed and agility work throughout the year.  For me softball is a year-round activity.  I also am a member of a competitive basketball team but pitching is my first love!

I have played numerous positions but pitching is my spot.  I like the control I have of the game in that position.  It is a lot of pressure but there is not a greater thrill than the bottom of the seventh with a close score and striking that last batter out. 

But to be quite honest all I want is to play softball in college.  If that means playing outfield or being a cheerleader for my teammates/friends, I’ll do it.  I love the sport, the camaraderie, and the sense of success that comes from playing softball.
