Personal Statement
Softball has been part of my life since I was just little. It has become more that just playing in dirt and running bases. It has taught me how hard work and dedication can lift you to success. Becoming a good slap hitter was not easy, but it became my focus and goal. As I look back at the many hours of gym time, tee time, and repetitions, I see how my focus and hard work has turned me into a true triple threat at the plate. But, more importantly, that effort has shown me that with my hard work and dedication, I can accomplish anything I want. I approach all my challenges with this same effort. A perfect example is my schooling. My goal has been to maintain a 4.0 through all of school. My efforts have allowed me to meet that goal and I am number one in my class, as well as an all-state academic athlete in both volleyball and softball.
My hopes for college are to graduate with a degree in Health and Human Performance. I enjoy working out and seeing how the human body works as well as seeing how efforts in the gym show up as improvements and success on the field. I hope to be able to help others meet their own goals. As a teammate, I have seen how my positive attitude and approach can help them grow and improve.
My goal for softball is to be a contributor for a sucessfull college team. I feel like I bring more to a softball team than just a strong arm, speedy feet, and a quick bat. I am a team player who loves to compete. I work hard, and am very coachable.
