Personal Statement
I have always enjoyed playing soccer since I was six years old and playing my British dad in my front yard. As a result, my primary goal in college is to get a great education while also continuing my love for the beautiful game. This doesn't mean I just want to have fun, however. I am very competitive person and don't enjoy life unless I'm pushing towards a goal, both literally and figuratively. For me, academic achievement always comes first. I am one of the top students in my grade, having taken eight AP classes and three honors courses in my first three years of high school. I am also very proud of my test-taking abilities; I received a 5 on all 3 of the AP tests I have gotten back scores for, as well as 1510 on the PSAT and a 1580 on the SAT. I am really interested in particular in social sciences and math, so I feel like the job of an economist would be a good fit for me. In terms of character, I consider myself to be adventurous, energetic, independent, and confident. On the soccer field, I play both left wing and attacking midfield, and I relish opportunities to take players on in order to lay a tasty cross for one of my teammates or create my own shot. My soccer achievements include making the Montana ODP state team as well as receiving an All-Conference Honorable Mention for my varsity high school performances my junior year. I look forward to the fresh sporting and academic challenges college will bring me.
