Mikayla Rogers '27 Recruiting Profile

I began playing softball when I was in second grade.  From the moment I first stepped on the field, I knew this was the sport I would fall in love with. I have always wanted to have the opportunity to play at the collegiate level. This goal inspires me to put in the extra time and effort it takes to keep improving my skills and knowledge of the game.

I have consistently participated in hitting and pitching lessons. I have seen improvements being made through this work over the years. I schedule extra cage time for hitting, pitching, fielding, weightlifting, and catching outside of practice times.

I have volunteered for a softball non-profit to help sort gear and helped teach skills to younger players at clinics. 

I enjoy watching collegiate games thoughtfully to observe how current players in my positions react to different plays and scenarios.  I have participated in mental game coaching and workshops.

My teammates and coaches describe me as hard-working, positive, coach able, team-focused, and dependable. 

I am a dedicated student with a 4.0 GPA. I participate in several additional school activities, including band, colorguard, winterguard, and poetry club. I demonstrate responsibility through working weekend shifts, off-season at McDonald's, where I have worked for 18 months.
