Jamie Fuqua '19 Recruiting Profile

Since I was 6 years old, I've been playing softball. So I've always had an interest, when I was 10 and learned a local select team was having tryouts, my interest multiplied then and has only grown since. I have learned a lot about myself through the sport, I don't quit easy, I can work through anything, and will do what it takes to be the best. As a high school student-athlete, my ultimate goal is to be valedictorian of my class, and continue my education and softball career with a program that fits me and my ambitions.

Going to a small school that doesn't offer softball is definitely a challenge, but being on a select team with amazing coaches has given me incredible opportunities within the sport. I believe I have the skills and talents necessary to compete at the next level. I also have the versatility, stamina, and work ethic that I can bring to your program. Finally, I am a strong leader, am able to lighten and focus my teammates, and can have a strong and immediate effect on your team.
