I have been playing baseball ever since I could hold a bat! My goal is to play baseball at the college level and earn a degree in forensic psychology. My grades come first and then being part of a competitive baseball team. I also play multiple sports including football, wrestling, and track. My professional goal is to become a forensic psychologist and solve civil and criminal cases. The words, “I can’t” are not in my vocabulary!
I am a strong leader with well-developed hitting, pitching, and fielding skills. I am coachable and enjoy playing baseball at the highest competitive level possible. For the past 9 years, I have played local league baseball and traveling ball. I have also played at the All-Stars level while volunteering to maintain the fields and build hitting cages for the local baseball league. I am known for being a power hitter, base runner, and outfielder. Within the travel league, I often pitched and played 2nd base, while playing outfield. I’ve played Juniors and Seniors traveling baseball through the American Legion North Platte First Nationals Baseball Team for the past year. It has been important to me to also volunteer for the local Buddy Ball, which is baseball for children with disabilities.
No matter whether it is in the classroom or on the field, I am willing to put in the extra time to reach my goals. I feel that you should play at the same level during practice as you would during an actual game. I strive to support my team, accept constructive feedback, and support my fellow players. I was honored to receive the Mike Bell Leadership Award through FNB American Legion. I don’t just settle for being a player, but I also want to be a player that others look up to.
I feel that sports prepare you for life. Either you want to be ordinary or extraordinary! It’s about working hard, correcting mistakes, improving, and being a team player on and off the field! I want to find the right match for a college that incorporates a strong forensic psychology program and a competitive baseball program. My ultimate goal is to play professional baseball!
