I’m Hallie Wiener, a 2024 graduate at Jackson Memorial High School in Jackson, NJ. I’m both eager and excited to enjoy the rest of my high school years, but also believe I have the desire, willingness and skill set to play softball at the next level. I started playing rec ball when I was 6 years old and have never looked back. When I started travel ball, I was on a 10u team, which is when I became serious about being a pitcher. What I learned about being a successful pitcher was that it would take a serious commitment and require a great deal of practice. I was hooked and up to the challenge and have been dedicated to improving every day since. As I got older the feeling I got knowing the team was counting on me to bring my “best stuff” every time I took the mound, was all the motivation I needed. I have learned in my years of playing travel ball that it is the friendships, competition and lessons learned that resonate the most with me. I can’t imagine not playing, as it has been such a huge part of my life that I have loved every minute of (the ups and downs), over the past 9 years.
At this point in my high school career, I have been able to achieve a 4.43 GPA, while taking many honors classes. I will continue to challenge myself by taking additional honors and AP classes in the years ahead. Achieving success in high school is one of my most important goals and I would like to continue that into my college career. Academically, I am hopeful to pursue my education at a college or university that will build upon my high school achievements and best help prepare me for my future. It is also one of my top priorities to be part of the softball program where I can significantly contribute to the overall success of the team. I have been praised by coaches that have impacted me the most as being extremely coachable, dedicated, and as a pitcher someone who always remembers the importance of having a short memory.
I look forward to demonstrating my commitment and value to your program.
