Emilia Colella '25 Recruiting Profile

My goal as an athlete is to earn a position on a competitive team where I can develop as a player and a person. I want to develop my academics at a good school with my selected major, sports media. As a three-season athlete, my teammates are super important to me, they are my second family and I am always there to help them when they need it. I am helping establish a softball team at my high school after years of not having enough players.  As a freshman last year I managed to restart the softball team before the season started in the spring. My goal is to become captain of the softball team by my junior year and be able to lead my team to a successful season.  As a club player, I take charge in the outfield knowing that Centerfielders need to be communicating in order for the outfield to run smoothly.  I also know how important it is to be a great teammate on the field and in the dugout.  I need to pick my teammates up after a bad game and cheer them on when they are competing. I put in the work to be successful, practicing fielding and doing tee work in the batting cages. I've risen from batting 9th to 3rd to going All American, and I look to collegiate softball as my next goal. Putting in the work today will allow me to put softball and sports at the center of my academic and athletic career!
