I believe, and my coaches would tell you, that I am a self starter and a leader on and off the field. This year I have worked very hard on my swing and becoming a power hitter. Although I believe you never stop working on your skills, I am proud that I batted .392 for the varsity season. I was just notified that I received Honorable Mention in the Northern Lakes League.
I work hard in the classroom as well. I am enrolled in all honors classes and will take AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Psychology, as well as honors core curriculum during my junior year.
It is my desire to play collegiate level softball for a team and coach committed to excellence through hard work and dedication. I am looking for a university that both supports my academic goals and a softball program that brings out the best in me as a player and a person.
The difference between me and other recruits is that I have the talent and it is however, secondary to my hard work in constantly trying to grow as a player. I not only want to commit to a program; I want a program committed to helping me continue to develop as a player. There is no such thing in perfection as an athlete, only the desire to develop further based upon clear goals and objectives.
