Hi! I'm Jordan Dippel and I'm an elite 1B and Utility for 2018. I stand 5’10” and 145 lbs. and have a wing span of 70 inches. I primarily play 1B with a consistent glove and very good stretch. I understand situations and playing strategies on the short game. I communicate with my teammates on the situation and lead them on where the plays should be made. I have also played second base and shortstop where I have used my reach and speed to my advantage. Using my knowledge from 1st base, I interpret defensive play structures which makes decision making easier. I have also played all the outfield positions. Covering the outfield is made easier with my speed and reach. My lengthy build gives way to my deceptively strong arm and speed. This high school season I have played third and both middle infield position. Offensively I hit from the left. I can slap and hit for power. Even though I have only committed to hitting primarily from the left side 3 years ago, I understand how to use the bat and the field to my advantage. I have an above average swing, but will get better as I continue to utilize all of my power in my core/hips. I know how to pick my pitch and protect. I'm the one who you want at 1B, infield or outfield, or a solid player to fill a position when the game is on the line. I put my team first and desire to help them in anyway I can to put us in the position to win games. I am multisport (basketball) who loves to compete. I have a 3.35 GPA and want to achieve a Bachelor degree in Marketing with a concentration in sports marketing. I have played for the NW Lady Diamonds and Oregon Titans in the past. This season I am challenging myself by forgoing my 2nd year of 16A ball and accepting a walk on offer for the 18A Blaze United team based out of Beaverton, Oregon. For commitment, team oriented, and passion for the game, I have a lot of upside. Thanks for you time, Jordan.
