Hi, my name is Boston Flores. I am a three sport athlete; I play Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball at Santiam JR/SR High School in Mill City, Oregon. I am currently in my junior year of highschool. I have grown up in this beautiful small town and it holds a prominent place in my heart. I have two rabbits and two dogs. I am very passionate about animals and I strive to become a doctor of veterinary medicine specializing in smaller animals. I lost my Rabbit (Fenway) almost two years ago, which was a very upsetting experience. Fenway is the driving force to me becoming a successful veterinarian.
I have been playing softball from the age of 4. At a young age I knew I wanted to be the best and play at the college level. My devotion to the game and my drive to become a college level softball player grew as I got older. I come from a very competitive athletic family. Unfortunately, none of them ever had the opportunity to compete at the college level. I plan to be the first college-level softball athlete in my family. The passion for softball in our house is very strong. We record and watch the game all year around. As I watch the various softball games, my drive to play at the college level grows as I see how happy those girls are to be playing a sport they love at that competitive level. I have learned many life lessons from the game, showing me how to overcome the hard times and push myself when I'm at my lowest.
Softball is a game built on failure, and that is something I have learned and it drives me. I have been blessed to create some of my fondest memories and built friendships that will last a lifetime all while playing a sport that I love.
I had a fantastic opportunity to join a travel softball team. As I was nervous to break out of my comfort zone and play with a group of girls I had never met, I knew I would grow from the experience. I was right, my athletic abilities grew right alongside my interpersonal skills. Being exposed to the higher caliber level of softball, it intensified my hunger to compete at the collegiate level. The atmosphere with the girls on and off the field grew at each tournament and I will never forget the experience.
I pride myself on being a well rounded coachable softball player. I have started varsity since my freshman year. I am always willing to play where it benefits the team best. I am proud of my leadership skills and positive energy I bring to any team, both on and off the field. My most vital attributes are my speed, discipline, game knowledge, and aggressive but disciplined base running. I continue to challenge myself to become the best offensive and defensive softball player I can be. I put all my efforts into everything I do and put the work in on and off the softball field to improve for myself and my teammates.
I hope to fulfill my dream of playing college level softball.
I would love the opportunity to call or email you if you find me as someone who you believe could be one of your player
