My high school season has come and gone, but to give an update on how that went, I started out very strong with a batting average of .472 and 9 home runs over 21 games including pre-season.  Unfortunately, I suffered an injury on March 10 and missed the remaining part of the season and was cleared to hit in the playoffs.  During the time I was sidelined, I made it a priority to grow my game.  I focused on being the best teammate possible, reading and understanding hitters in order to call a better game behind the plate for my pitchers, and lastly assisted in the cages and on the field helping teammates with hitting to assist them in being the most prepared for games.  My rehab has gone well and I am looking forward to getting back on the dirt this summer.

Currently, I am a sophomore at Oak Ridge High School taking Honors classes and pushing myself to be better academically and athletically.  I am not afraid to ask questions for clarity to ensure I know what I am doing on and off the field.  I am appreciative of the opportunity to play on the varsity softball team.   My current GPA is a 4.2857.    Most days I can be found after practice in the batting cages, getting in extra swings.  I am very passionate about the game of softball and I hope to be able to coach one day.  I enjoy helping others learn the game and have volunteered time helping with younger teams at practice.
