Keyasiah Rucker '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Keyasiah Rucker and my educational goal has always been to be a scientist (since age 12). I would love to help formulate vaccines and medications to save people’s lives. The specific job title that I want requires a doctorate degree. Putting together a financial plan and picking the right college/university to start this educational journey is very important. One of the biggest deciding factors for me outside of academics is the Softball program. Getting the opportunity to attend a great school will put me one step closer to helping people around the world. Not only am I willing to put in the hard work, I am willing to pay it forward once I complete my long-term educational and career goals. I am an honor student, a member of the National Honors Society (NHS), and I run indoor track in the winter to help with my conditioning. I am a member of the Smithfield High School Choraliers and I volunteer to coach little league softball.  All of these things make me different from other recruits. 

You can put me anywhere on the field. I started as a short stop, have moved over to third, and occasionally play second if needed. I can play all 3 positions in the outfield. I throw right handed but I have always batted lefty since I was 4 years old. I can hit for power and I'm a slapper. Lastly, I would love to play for you!!!!
