Family is extremely important to me. I come from a military background. Both my mom and my dad served in the military. I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel all over the world. For as long as I can remember I have loved all things sports. My mother played, coached and officiated volleyball. My father played, coached and officiated softball, baseball and basketball; both of them ran track. I ran my first 5k when I was in the 5th grade. Although I didn't place well, it was that race that I fell in love with running. Since then my passion for running has grown tremendously. I began running competitively my 8th grade year. I placed top 10 in every meet I ran and was named Cross Country Jr. Varsity Most Valuable Player in 2018. My freshman year I was named Varsity Most Valuable Player 2019. I have learned the value of consistency, hardwork, and physical discipline through cross country. It has also increased my problem solving skillset as I navigate through the courses. Pushing myself past my comfort zone has boosted my sense of confidence. I aim to graduate high school with honors and continue on to my collegiate studies where I hope to major in Mechanical Engineering.
