Personal Statement

Hi, I am Madison McCallister, I'm 13 years old and in 8th grade. I started to play softball at the age of 10-years-old. Getting on the softball field is one of my biggest accomplishments. I have found that frustration and success go hand in hand. Though I am confident in my ability. I am a Catcher/Utility player. I currently catch for my travel team. My preferred college division levels, are Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3. My top 5 colleges are, University of Kentucky, University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, University of California - Los Angeles - UCLA, Marshall University, and University of Alabama. I tend to work hard on the field and in the class room. I may not always have the best outcome, but no matter what I will get back up and try again. I like to view myself as a determined person. For my major, I am wanting to go into Forensic Science, Law, or Criminology. What I am most wanting from my college, is a college that will help my achieve my academic goals, and allow me to not only excel on the field but also in  the classroom. I have played a variety of sports including: softball, baseball, basketball, karate, cheerleading, gymnastics, track & field, and soccer.
