Personal Statement
Ever since I was a little girl softball has always been my game. It has taught me a lot about myself as a person. Ive learned how to become a team player, be happy for others successes even when I might not be getting them. Being patient is a big one as well. It tests my determination and motivation everyday. I am a coachable player and am always open to corrections and critiques. I put full effort into whatever it is we may be doing.
When I was just 12 years old I made a national team and got to play at the ESPN wide world of sports complex in Florida. It was one of the coolest things i’ve ever experienced so far. At that moment is when I realized that playing softball is what I really want to do. My freshman year I set a goal for myself to make varsity. Not only did I make the team, but I was out to the test as leading off and starting at short stop. On top of that I won offensive player of the year, 1st team all conference, and 1st team all area. My team finished 6th in the state and won conference and regionals. It was a historical year for myself and the team. I had never been more proud of myself and my teammates before! The pandemic put an end to my sophomore year high school season before it even got to start. I am now going into my Junior year of high school. I play for the Wisconsin Thundercats Sports Academy 18u Softball team and am captain of my High School team. I’m so excited to see what the future holds for me!
