As a collegiate student athlete, I intend to continue to play basketball, while immersing myself in a challenging, expansive education. I always put 100% into everything that I do, on and off the court. Competing against some of the top teams in the nation, I learned the values of accountability, teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Leading by example and holding myself accountable results in respect: self-respect and respect from others. As a 3-year varsity team captain, I’ve learned the most important aspects of leadership, including communication and consistency, which will only evolve and grow as I approach the collegiate level. I’ve learned the discipline it takes to be successful. Additionally, I’ve learned teamwork is an essential ingredient to success. I’ve recently won a CIF Sportsmanship Award and The Teammate Award (from my coach). These awards were a nod to my character, selflessness, and consistent team contributions. At the collegiate level, I plan to continue developing my passion, discipline, teamwork, leadership and accountability.
